G+_52Degrees
My youngest kid bit his second phone digitizer... Yeah, I know. And he's 12. Sigh... Anyway, the digitizer and screen were both broken, so I took all the plastic and stuff I could off of the screen and took a look. It's pretty cool! You can see all 3 layers of liquid crystal, and twisting slightly manipulates thd colors. BTW, there were 5 layers of plastic and mylar on the back of the screen to facilitate light transmission through the screen. 10 white LEDs on one end provide all the light. G+_Daniel Armstrong
On the bright side (pun?) broken LCD panels are a great source of lights. I save them all, both CCFL with its inverter and LED.
