G+_T Nohands
TO THOSE INTERESTED OR LOOKING for FREE CS2 DOWNLOADS FROM ADOBE ITS SELF here is a direct link to the Adobe cs2 download page so sign up or in to an Adobe account read the directions pick your language and HAVE FUN LEARNING !!! IN SHOW OF RESPECT FOR TWiT.tv and Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY for this post and I'm not nor have I been employed or affiliated with Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ or Twit.TV and anyone in the cast and crew nor consulted with them in this post and they had nothing to do with finding the link at all in any way, Even with the abandonment act making the free CS2 download technically legal or not is up to the future so just make sure you are sure about how you interpretate the law and please READ Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ comment and READ the addendum at the bottom so you understand the law and MY REASONS I gave this link out. so here's the Link ??? https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs2-product-downloads.html# And use common sense and don't use it for professional business use if your going to use Adobe CS for occupational use for profit here's the link for Adobe Creative Cloud versions if you want to try the latest version or update https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud.html?promoid=KLXMJ#buy I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR!! Please make sure to read Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ comment about this post, it is the Twit Know How community so give them the respect they deserve and this post is intended only for those who seriously can't afford it and/or want to learn not only how to use CS platform and learn how the manual process of the new time saving feature in the new versions work, but also allow others to learn adout the different types of media and how they function. No matter the legal technicalities mentioned in the Addendum I made please don't use this product in this link for any use except for educational use! Also try out the other link for the CS Cloud I ment this post only for educational use and for those with little income can get a small break when self educating with an online course such as Lynda.com. I would also ask PLEASE don't repost to a bunch of different sites just for the Twit community. I would make an Addendum Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ made a disclaimer on this post, and YES he is correct, shutting down the key activation servers does NOT mean Adobe has abandoned this product. However this has become a slippery slope on the legality of downloading CS2 if you did not purchase the product before 2005. Since so many blogs, cyber news media cites, and even several sites such as softonic, filehippo, and cnet download have been declaring the program as freeware and abandoned. Okay here's the grey area these site greatly outnumber any disclaimer information that it is meant for only those who had purchased CS2 before or after 2005, Adobe has not made any attempt to stop those sites from offering the direct download of CS2 as freeware, even on top of that these sites are not giving out pirated copies of CS2 but redirecting the download from Adobe itself and through their sites as a zip or exe package, which is where the reasonable (fingers quoting in air) wording comes into play. Now there are 2 legal laws or more precisely legal "ACTS" meaning both concepts or events have precedents that have been established in the courts. 1: being the single disclaimer listed on the link I posted does mean it's not legal to download if you did not already own the program as a supported product. 2: Then comes into play the salvage act and the bait or false entrapment act. Now since you can download the program listed as freeware or abandoned which is more often compared as the resemblance of something been discarded and ignored meaning as an example you see an item outside near someone's trash or in the trash it is legal to salvage or take. Now it's obvious Adobe didn't just throw CS2 into the trash and the source code is fiercely guarded, YET since massive amounts of downloads from Adobe servers being sent to a few ip addresses that are advertising as freeware is also obvious to Adobe and their IT department. Now after a certain amount of time of no action against these sites it will eventually cross a line where a statue of limitations is reached if not already past to which that Adobe has failed to make or take "Reasonable" actions to confront or contest CS2 as being distributed (by their own servers) when they have been aware of this situation. If Adobe tried to take any legal action against those who've downloaded or those sites offering the program as freeware after all this time (again downloaded from Adobe itself) could constitute baiting a lawsuit which falls under a illegal charge of entrapment where they present a false pretext that they didn't know until now or were unaware that this illegal violation against them until a lawsuits profits could be maximised in penalties and restitution payments would be most profitable especially since it''s over a product or item they have both discontinued making or producing and also discontinued selling. It's also not really the case of Adobe taking any legal action, because they can't, but they can make these sites stop giving away but that's it besides shutting down the servers that administer the CS2 downloads. I say it's not really about violating their program usage because the fact that they've done nothing or made a "reasonable" attempt to stop everyone except valid previous owners, is helping Adobe get new and the sub puberty young using the CS2 platform as well as allowing it to be used in educational CS classes actually not only compete against true freeware or opensource software like gimp. Since they have been ignoring the so call usage violations, there has been a jump in people using the CS platform especially in the younger age group that have started using the CS cloud as they get to the point in their life as they can afford it as well as sells of the CS6 and CS6 programs. So slowing down other freeware competition usage as well as getting more platform users because once you use the CS platform for a while much more than their free trial period it's really hard to leave it and settle for the majority of free programs even as old as CS2 is addictive and has increased their paid platform users since CS2 is so old that upgrading for the new features is getting those who get hooked on the CS platform to start spending money. Now the only reason I posted this link is not convince people to download CS2 for everyone to run out and download just to have it, but to provide a way for people to see and get a sense of what a pro editor is like, what they can do, and for those who can't afford a CS pro platform to use for small playing around and mostly because there was such a dramatic jump in the different features that are meant to make editing easier that those starting in later versions don't really understand what process is going on or exactly how to recreate that effect manually and CS2 is a great tool for learning not only how media can be edited but it also creates a better knowledge about media itself what is lost in compression and much better experience for self education on media in general. As I said it's morality is subjective even if the legality is not. So if you do download it show some common sense in why and how you use it and if you're going to use CS as a tool for work or in business practice buy CS6 or CS cloud business edition honestly if you use media editing as a profession and you can't afford to buy a better legal copy then face it you're not talented enough to be in that industry if your work can't pay enough for a legal business version of the product I only advocate downloading for educational use only if you already know everything necessary for pro use, please just buy a legal copy or subscription. Of course I'm subjectively morally obligated to mention I manage stock portfolio and have positions in Autodesk and Adobe and I would like to get more shares on the next nonsense market plunge then get it up to $80 or $90 a share, and posssibly a dividend increase. https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs2-product-downloads.html
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
It's my legal responsibility to mention that you should not download unless you own CS2. Shutting down the activation servers is NOT abandonment.
