Passing thought: I don't know why people are calling these new wearable devices a "watch"... because it isn't, is it? It is a new type of device worn on the wrist, where the watch used to be... it's like calling the car an "iron horse".

Probably for the same reason we call small handheld computers "phones". I agree that it's stupid. When smartphones were new, I had people point at my iPhone and say "why do you need that, this thing makes calls". Now we're going to get people pointing at "wrist computers" and comparing them to their watches saying, "this thing tells the time no problem"
