So Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ  While enjoying Defcon can you find out how when I let my friend in Norfolk after letting him remote access into my network (to reset that switch I asked for help in episode 144) he enjoyed playing around with devices and enjoyed taking control of my Samsung 9000 series and set up a Skype session with his phone so  we could talk and catch up face to face. I thought it was good to see him after so long, but then realized that guy turned the camera on my TV on and won't tell me how I've pushed the TV camera down so that fixes that but what about laptops if you disabled the camera driver stay in standard user instead of admin account would that stop a remote accessing and turning the camera on? Also he's helping me with my network setup so once I let him in it's too late but it was kinda creepy he could do that with my TV. Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ  Could you teach us how that works and how to do that? I promise I won't abuse that knowledge PadreSJ. 3:)

Take a sticky note, cut a strip off just large enough to cover the camera lens, cover lens with sticky note strip, done.

Travis Hershberger  That's great if I could use my hands lol. I could have someone put a piece on for me, yet even still something that's not often thought of, when someone gets your camera on and opens a session, they not only see the sticky note but they can turn your microphone on as well as watching screen shots and keylogging once they've gotten that far in your machine sticky notes are too late for security. My friend enjoys editing Windows OS and gives me a week to fix what he did mostly harmless pranks like changing sound effects within the system like that ping sound when an invalid option is done changing it to Homer Simpson's Doh mp3, which I forgot where the sound effect folder is, how about a Know How to undo that Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ ? He tells me the trick is cutting your own privileges while he's inside but it's the IOT devices that are the problem every company is in such a hurry to get their device connected they have been neglecting to put any security.  So nothing is ever as simple as a sticky note :( especially with him. (He does IT security for the Navy, so he enjoys teaching by screwing with something and tells me to figure it out) I wish he would not stay in the Navy and move back nearby, he's my Tech support. It sucks being put second priority behind the Navy especially when he forgets about me and undoing his last prank. Then   again he may not be forgetting about me and just LHAO.
