G+_Ben Reese
I've been using free dynamic DNS services for a long time. There are absolutely security risks to them which is why no-ip was shut down by Microsoft (no, it's not owned by M$, they stole the domains for security concerns) a couple years ago. One serious problem is that someone could offer free DDNS services then trick the users into rerouting the user traffic through their own servers. That said, I used DynDNS until they canceled their free service then moved to no-ip. Now I have a name registered through namecheap (had a 1 year free offer) and I've got a dynamic subdomain under the domain name I own. Many registrars offer the service and it's worth looking into.
