Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ and all the KITAs who are true makers out here, can anyone help a quadriplegic with a project that would improve the quality of life when making trips to the ICU and admitted to hospital stays a few times a year? I'm not only Nohands but would be more accurate to say only shrug, neck, and head. However Nohands sounds better than anything that could be said involving shrug, neck, and head. As one of the drawbacks of not having help reversing paralysis is A LOT OF TIME staring at some Vary boring ceilings especially during hospital stays. So Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ when I watched episode 266 with you playing with the Pico Projector I started wondering if it could screen cast not only videos from an Android Phone but any apps on the screen ie Google Sky? I've never been able to sleep in hospitals especially when they put me on the wrong type of bed, not to mention none of the beds bend at the right location when rising to a sitting position with most beds end up folding at my stomach so lots and lots of ceilings to stare at. I often wish I could see the stars more often especially in real time. I've considered mounting a camera on or even in my roof for live streaming stars. However every idea depends on displaying a large image within a very limited range, especially if I want the projector to be portable enough to have other people disconnect and then set it up during hospital stays. With that in mind there's also the issue of having to talk nurses and their CNAs through setting up movies or try to set a screen cast of Google Sky then lay the phone face down to see the stars as close to a live feed as possible without a camera to stream a signal and video. If I really wanted to go with all the ideas and switch between movies, Google Sky, and a live camera feed of the night sky above my bed especially during meteor showers and other events, would anyone have any ideas of how to set something like that up? Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ after playing with the Pico Projector, do you think it could be versatile and bright enough to cast a large enough picture to equal a 40" or so tv screen size and it look somewhat okay on different ceilings when in some cases like the ICU where the light at a nurse station stays on during the night and the standard design of rooms in the ICUs are supposed to have a window for or in the wall between patients and nurses. Even if the Pico Projector would be sufficient for the image is there a way to screen cast google sky? Then finally what would be a good IP camera that can offer a good exposure time and clarity allowing the camera to turn the lens to the sky in the evening then away in the mornings so the sun doesn't cook the inside of the lens by parabolic refraction? It's always the smallest of things that people take for granted and not realize how much the little things can mean so much when someone looses access and abilities like being able to pull or set yourself in a sitting position or just look at the stars once in a while and let your mind wonder. If anyone has any ideas or better yet suggestions on how to accomplish the desired results of a project like that? How about that for a Know How project to build?
