Has anyone in the community registered they're quadcopter or multi rotor craft with the FAA for commercial use? If so, what was the process like? What advice do you have for others thinking about doing the same thing?

I have not personally had the need to, but I do know about it, as I was one of the many AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) members who formally submitted a recommendation to the FAA.
