G+_James Thatcher
can we just have that as a looped gif please?
G+_CM Daugherty
James Thatcher animated *.gif: http://camerasnapper.com/apes640x360.gif no audio with an animated *.gif. I actually snipped audio from another segment, in the movie trailer, for the short I created. I agree, it might be better, if all of the videos were looping. There's not as much detail in a *.gif, but for this green screen challenge ...it probably would have been fine. I had to blur up the green screen footage, because the Planet of the Ape trailer was pretty blurry ...or my eyes are going bad. I did very little to match up exposure differences (and other details) between the two clips. Might make another with my own footage, if time and work allows. Anyone could go a million different directions with this challenge eg.) running w/ the bulls (stampede), train sequence, angry gladiator in arena, prison break, giant insect attack, land of the giants, someone driving a golf ball, water spill ...etc.

G+_CM Daugherty
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ you guys do a great job at TWIT. I'd be in heaven playing/working with all of the equipment, ha, ha. Alex Lindsay seems to have a pretty interesting career with Pixel Corps ...looking forward to watching him on the upcoming episode of 'Know How'. Just skimmed through TWiET episodes 68 & 70 ...nice job by you, Brian Chee & Curtis Franklin. I'll have to look into Linux: Elementary OS ...I'm curious. Got a chuckle when Brian Chee mentioned all of the different Linux distributions that currently reside on his servers. I remember the old Yggdrasil Linux ...that was a nightmare of an install ...never got it working :D. I can't believe how far Linux and the different distributions have come. I really enjoy using Openshot (Linux) for video editing. I never hear of anyone discussing Openshot. Jonathan Thomas started a KickStarter campaign to fund several updates to his creation Openshot. Might make an interesting story or interview for one of the TWIT shows http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/421164014/openshot-video-editor-for-windows-mac-and-linux/posts/441132
