G+_Jeff Stevens
Are the cities far enough away for acceleration and deceleration? Are there enough straightaways? What right of ways will Be used?
G+_George Kozi
we already have high speed rail all over the continent, with trains that run at between 350 to 400 km per hour. So it is feasible and profitable. What we use in Europe right now for High speed trains are classical rails. This Japanese thing is MagLev. Germany has been doing research and testing on that for donkey's years. In fact ,the Chinese MagLev is German tech. I think it is time we deployed that at home too. G+_Jeff Stevens
OK, so what do you do? Replace hundreds of miles of rails with maglev? During which no one can use them? If you don't replace them, where do you get the right-of-way for extra rail? At what cost? For what improvement?
