G+_George Kozi
Why the heck do they have to make new technology look so goofy? It's like they want people to shy away from it. Do you think this is deliberate? That thing on the top looks absolutely ridiculous... probably designed by the village idiot. The one on the bottom is alright, but it looks like something you use on the warm tropical holiday island where you are vacationing. Originally shared by Yi Yao Driverless Cars Set To Be Tested In Four English Cities The four English locations picked to test driverless cars are Bristol, Greenwich, Coventry and Milton Keynes. Bristol will host the Venturer consortium, which aims to investigate whether driverless cars can reduce congestion and make roads safer. The test will focus on the public's reaction to the technology as well as the legal and insurance implications of its introduction. Greenwich is set to run the Gateway scheme to test self-drive passenger shuttle vehicles (see second image) as well as autonomous valet parking for adapted cars. A self-drive car simulator will use photorealistic 3D model of the area to study people's reaction to driverless car. Milton Keynes and Coventry will host the UK Autodrive programme to test both self-drive cars on the road as well as self-driving pods designed for pedestrianised areas. This group will focus on developing technologies to be built into roads and the surrounding infrastructure to aid vehicle navigation. The tests will begin on 1 January. via: http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-30316458
