Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ Perfect timing for KH363! After completing a proper design phase my air explorer scouts (14-18 yo UK explorer scouts with an interest in aviation - so we do normal scouting + gliding, air-related engineering, etc.) are about to start building a couple of 250-class quads.

My plan was to build the quads, use them to build up flying skills (with the ensuing repairs) then add a camera and a grabbing mechanism of some sort to pick up, carry and drop a small load on a course (i.e. opportunity for games + competitions between them). This seems to line up nicely with what you described on the KH363.

Any reason you chose a 450 class other than stability and thrust to add a grabber and carry a load later on? UK rules are likely to change soon and a heavier 450 class could be more difficult for the explorer scouts to fly (+ I already have all the 250 parts we need but could get new frames).

PS: You've got several more fans after they watched the video. Apart from their surprise at seeing a cool, geeky priest "do technology", Jason Howell also gets a mention for being "cool" (they said it, not me, so it must be true!).
