G+_Jerome Semichon
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ Hello Padre, Re: KH 357 (loved it, can't wait for the fan episode!). You may want to look at some of the i3 mods to stabilise the z axis using 8mm steel rods. It takes a bit of time to print the pieces but you get a very stable printer afterwards. Some of the most useful mods I've used (all credits to the creators of the mods and for sharing): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:921948 (Z braces and mods, superb stability). https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1858633 (to remove the fans inside the control box, use a standard case fan instead and enjoy the peace and quiet) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1595208 (grill to save your fingers if you wander at the back of the i3) Add some anti-vibration feet for good measure and happy days! My i3 says it's printed 3km of filament in nearly 32 days in the last 6 months (I need to make it work harder!). The only failures I've had were either due to bed levelling or poor filament. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:921948
