G+_charles beller
What is the difference between disk image and disk clone? What are each best used for?
G+_Preet Sangha
In general, an image is a copy of all the data on the disk as big binary file. A clone is where you take all the data on the disk in binary and literally copy it to to another drive, thereby create a copy. This copy is a bit for bit copy and is also known as a clone (exact copy). You can make clones by first creating and image , and then later using that image to copy onto another disk which is then a clone.
G+_Wolf 68k
A clone will copy the partition information plus the files. Disk image is just copying the files.
