TWIT 122 & 250 FPV:  Hi guys.  I've been wanting to build a 250 FPV quad, and now that spring is arriving I'd really like to do this and take advantage of  the better weather.  The FPV 250 kit you recommended looks great, but it's been on back order at Hobby King forever.  Can you recommend another kit from another vendor?  Also, did you make specific hardware recommendations for the few items you must still buy/add, like controllers and xmit/receivers?

thanks,

-e

I got everything for my quad from banggood. I listened to all of the quad podcast episodes, built my own parts list and learned as I went along. Price difference was negligible and quality was good. As Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ?says, all the instructions he gives are transferable to quads of differ parts and sizes so if you are willing to put in the effort you don't have to wait for a kit.

You guys have no idea how honored i am that you read my post on camera during the last show and attributed the 'knowhow 250' to my email.  Can we call it the '"Eric Berger knowhow 250"?

Seriously tho, I notice that you didn't recommend a transmitter, but I think that adding the extra features you mentioned MIGHT require more channels than the 6 channel FlySky transmitter.  Are you planing on recommending a different transmitter/receiver combo to add channels?  If so, could you let us know which?  These are also notoriously back-ordered, and I'd love to get a jump on ordering a new one if it's going to be needed.

Again, thanks a lot for all the instruction, i'm having much fun following along with you :)
