I have a query around load balancing and failover on the Synology RT2600ac. Like many of you I purchased this router based on the recommendation on Know How.

 

I have two seperate ISPs in the house, and have them connected via the WAN and LAN1 ports. I have the load balancing and failover option on, however it does not seem to be working. We had an outage on our primary ISP last night, and it did not transition over to the backup ISP.

 

Has anyone seen this type of behavior, or had success with either load balancing or failover with this router? Thanks in advance.

How do you know the failure wasn't so big that it was also covering your back up ISP

Wait it can do this but not a basic internal VLAN? Man in another post was complaining about it.
