Going into CES 2015, what components should I be watching for home automation?  We want home voice command (and are willing to replace our Amazon Echo that just arrived), smart thermostat, smart lock with camera for the front door, smart lock without camera for the back door, smart "lock" for the garage door (you come through the garage to get to the back door), music throughout the house, and smart media to two TVs.  We have a Plex media server with Roku3 boxes today with DVD collection ripped to Plex server and video from either Plex, Netflix, or Amazon VoD.  Just got Amazon Echo ... but looking at it as a stop gap for audio only.  We personally prefer Google back-end APIs over Amazon - trust Google with our data more than Amazon and we are all Android smartphone users in the house.  Any products or companies we should be watching over the next couple months?  Thanks!

We also have a spare PC coming online this week (replacing the insides of an existing PC) that we are thinking of using for a HTPC/Emulator for the basement - the wife (most awesome ever) is an old school arcade game fan who supports a MAME machine in the basement for Frogger, Qbert, Joust, and fun multi-player games (Gauntlet being the first one to come to mind...).  Any thoughts?

locks?  Some things shouldn't be home automated.  With routers (firewalls) falling at a monthly rate, don't think I'd jump to use them.

Having said that have had my house has been automated for over a decade. nothing is 802.11.  Too easy to send deauth packets to knock a device off the network. (like a 'security' cam like a drop-cam)

Here's a CES tip - start at the back of the halls, furthest from the entrances. The most innovative and newest companies have the worst booth locations as prime space is given by seniority. Also, check out the "Innovations" area to spot who you should check out - occasionally a company with an amazing product came in far too late and is stuck in an area thst you'd skip, like watches.
