G+_Jonathan Reding
Does anyone know if a Seagate GoFlex NAS can be reformatted in a way that Seagate proprietary software can be avoided? Not a fan of the way it divides up NAS drive.

G+_Jonathan Reding
Yeah, agreed on WD. Unfortunately I've had this drive for too long all ready. Wondering if I can make it more manageable and not have to log in via seagateshare.com to manipulate the drive.
G+_Captive Bolt
Can you back up your data to another drive and then do a thorough reformat and place your data back onto the drive?
G+_Jonathan Reding
I think if I could remember how to load the Seagate GoFlex in DiskUtility on Mac I could do that. Can't seem to find in google search. All data is off the Seagate drive so if I can figure out how to reformat it I would be in business. hopefully
