G+_Chris Hightower
Anyone else watching know how on a Roku? Do you think the Roku TWIT channel is painfully slow?
G+_David Peterson
You can find all (most???) of the twit shows on different apps on the Roku if you don't like the TWiT app. The shows are on the iTunes podcast app, NoWhereTv (one of nowhereman's channel), videobuzz (youtube). All these are unofficial apps. And a few simple google searches and you'll have the codes. G+_Michael Kickingbear
The "official" roku twit app (also by shift key software I believe) is painfully slow on the 1st gen roku box. I've heard it's a bit better on the later roku boxes. I haven't heard about ROKU 3 yet as it just came out. But I think the app does need some work on this platform. FYI, twit app on iPhone for sprint and Verizon (CDMA based) is also slower than on AT&T or other GMA carriers. Longer buffering times on the CDMA hardware. Sprint is in the middle of a network upgrade. I don't understand why they are so far behind everyone else in terms of data. Don't they own the bulk of UUNET? G+_Tim Mayes
The TWiT app on the Roku 3 is great. The extra horsepower in the new box is what it needed.
G+_Chris Hightower
I have an LT, and the TWiT app is almost useless.
G+_Michael Kickingbear
Really Chris? That's disappointing. I know on sprint I can't stream anything live through the TWIT app. I usually download content via wifi and play it locally if its not any better on LTE I don't know what else to do other than continue to use it on wifi. I don't understand what the benefits of LTE are if the performance improvements are nominal at best?
G+_Chris Hightower
A roku Lt, not an lte phone
G+_John Schultz
Compared to other content on the Twit channel, yes. I have wondered why?
G+_Chris Hightower
FWIW - my solution: I installed the iTunes podcast channel and set up all of the TWiT shows as favorites. Much faster UI.
