G+_Derek Souter
Cheers, I've already got Maya and AutoCAD (the joys of free student software) and been starting to learn them. Lots of instructional videos on Lynda.com. but something a little more user friendly would be nice. ?
G+_Derek Souter
Thanks Wayne, I will watch that later and look at 123d, it's been a few years since I last tried it, but I wasn't motivated enough to learn it then. ?
G+_James Hughes
As a student you can use Autodesk's fusion 360. I love it, easy to use and still very powerful.
G+_Derek Souter
James Hughes as was mentioned during last night's show, ALL autodesk software is free for students. I found that out for myself 2 weeks ago. :)
G+_James Hughes
Didn't get a chance to listen to it until this morning on the drive to work. Derek Souter? Wayne Hobbins? 360 is the best IMHO. I've tried to 123D and Tinker Cad, neither are as intuitive as 360.
G+_James Hughes
Yes Wayne Hobbins? it does come with a lot of features, most of which I don't use. But the way it works is very simple, straightforward, and powerful. It uses simple shapes that you can drag to move or change the dimensions. I find it to be very intuitive and the UI easy to navigate. And that's my 2 cents.
