trying to get my syma x5c to lift my gopro clone to record my Christmas light show, just not enough power.  I've removed the prop guards, the landing gear, the included camera, etc to reduce weight and still can't generate enough lift.  anything else to try without modding motors?  different batteries?  using 600mah 3.7v right now

Have you tried stripping down the gopro clone too?

Can you install larger props? I have a feeling even if you can you're going to find you only end up with a 2 minute flight time unless you also upgrade the battery. Larger battery adds flight time. **It does not produce more power out of what you already have.**

Don't think you will get it to happen. Those tiny brushed Motors won't have the thrust and they probably won't be able to swing a bigger prop. Those are designed to fly stock and won't lift much at all

thanks folks - sounds like i need a more powerful drone or an even smaller camera - this clone go pro is pretty tiny, was surprised the syma couldn't handle the job after stripping it down
