G+_Aundre Grant
Where are the htpc and raspberry pi2 guides up in here?.... Anyone... Hello... Help. Please!
G+_Ben Reese
What's your project? Just a media player or more? OpenELEC is the best KODI build I've tried and KODI has plug-ins to do about anything you'd want. I'm hoping to do a garage door opener with my original Pi, but just haven't been motivated enough to start. Of course, 610bob? just posted more about his Pi thin client. What do you have so far? G+_Aundre Grant
Got a pi 2 with openelec. It's OK. But I took my wife's old laptop and just using plex and the browser for the most part. But I'd like an interface more suited to using my air mouse / remote. Still want to use Netflix and hulu plus so kodi isn't all that great for this case.
G+_Ben Reese
Yeah, it's missing a lot of support from the big companies. I only ran OpenELEC for a few months and didn't have Netflix yet, so never tried getting it going. This article, however, seems very compete and has instructions on how to view Netflix through OpenELEC: http://mymediaexperience.com/xbmc-guide/#section6 According to this guide, PlayOn running on a Windows machine works best for Netflix and Hulu. Kinda defeats the purpose though. Other than that, I also found NetfliXBMC which plays Netflix on the KODI machine directory. That was all fun to play with, but in the end I just went with a Fire TV in the living room and a Fire TV Stick in the bedroom.
