G+_Jesse Kawell
I'm about to build my first quad, and I'm planning on doing a 250 based on the one built in the first quad series on KH, but the kit recommended (HobbyKing Spec FPV250) seems to have been on backorder for a long time. Any recommendations for a good starter 250 kit that I could actually get in a reasonable amount of time (and in the same $100-125 price range)? Thanks! https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=52863
G+_Michael Heinz
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ and Ready to Fly Quads have come up with a replacement kit. See Episode #142 http://twit.tv/show/know-how/142 RTFQs also has or had a special link where you could order everything from a single page - if you search back through this forum you should find it. G+_Michael Heinz
I'm not sure which is a clone of which, but yes, they're identical.
G+_Jesse Kawell
Is the NEEWER Flysky FS-T6 2.4Ghz 6-Channel Radio still a recommended radio for the KH250? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DAPF5WU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=
G+_Michael Heinz
Well, I don't know about "recommended" but it's what I use, and its acceptable - especially for the price. Its main limitation is range - I only get 100-150 yards before interference starts causing problems.
G+_Michael Heinz
Jesse, if you haven't found rcgroups.com yet, be sure to check them out - they're a tremendous resource and have several reviews and discussions about the T6. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1725935 http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2213672
G+_Glenn Ford
I bought that kit and the laser 230 frame and used that instead, then I upgraded to some 2300kv dys motors, save yourself some money, buy any 250 frame you like (the laser type gives more room with another layer) and get the more powerful motors like dys or multistar elites, you'll want them eventually ? G+_Jesse Kawell
Thanks for all the help guys! I've got the stuff coming in the mail, and can't wait to give it a shot! I had a Syma until I broke the radio trying to mod it, so I'm excited to build and fly a "real" quad. You all are awesome!
G+_David Doyle (cyberhiker
The Spedix S250 is a nice kit that includes the flight controller (CC3D or KK2.1.5) a sat receiver and upgraded motors. G+_Michael Heinz
That's a very interesting kit... I like the way the ESCs mount directly under the motors.
