G+_Matt E
Hello KH. I was wondering what would be the best setup to use for a home network? I now have a DSL modem router combo, and would like to add a vpn and more security to my wifi. I have many devices that use wifi and some that I can wire it with cat6. Any info would be great and specific hardware you would use or are using now would be great. Thanks.

G+_Jerry McMurphy
I use a Mac mini (base unit... Around $600) with OSX server. My data stored on a Drobo 5D. OSX Server acts as a time machine backup location for my other Macs, runs VPN, file server, iTunes server, etc.
G+_Jerry McMurphy
Also use an Airport Extreme, which Server communicates with to automatically configure router & wifi functionality.
G+_Matt E
I have looked into them. I was wondering how they are as a firewall for incoming and outgoing. I need a hardware solution that my kids and their friends can't get around by using other machines I have no control over. Thanks.
