Hack 5 is also building a sub FAA regulations quadcopter on their podcast channel. Just like building a computer, the general components of a quad build are the same. Its interesting to see the different mindset on the hardware specs used for these two builds; the Know How sub regulations and the Hak 5 sub regulations.

It's interesting to see the differences in styles between Padre and Darren. Like with the soldered ESC leads... Fr. Robert used an Arduino to reprogram them and correct the rotation, but Darren said he's just going to unsolder the leads to swap them.

It's good to learn multiple ways to do something and adapt to your own style.

 

I have all my parts and can start my 160 build. Slight modifications from Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ build but very similar. I am trying the ZMR 160 frame with adjustable camera mount and BEC to power camera, TX and LEDs.
