G+_Tracy Biddle
So I have really been getting into flying Quads and building them. I build the HK FPV250 and I have a Spektrum 7s Radio. My wife watched me fly and just had to take a crack at it. She became really good. Now I have have lost my Quad :). So I am in the process of getting her a new quad. Together we are building the KH FPV250. I have ordered most everything from ReadyTo FlyQuads. But I want to get her her own radio so we can fly at the same time. We will eventually fly FPV but not yet, we still want to master regular flight. That being said I am looking towards the FrSky TARANIS X9D or the FrSky 9XR Pro. I think we will eventually get into telemetry as part of this hobby, but that is down the road. Money is not a big issue, and I think we would use many of the features that the Taranis has, but is this the right direction? Should I buy something less expensive now and upgrade to something better later? Or is FrSky not even manufacturer to look towards? There are so many people with such biased opinions its really hard to get a good read on what to do. So I am calling on the KH experts for there opinion (because they are the only ones who really know). :)
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
A family that flies together, stay (or crashes) together. :) Buy the FrSky Taranis X9D and give the Spektrum 7s to your wife. :)

G+_Rick Mouritzen
I have Spektrum 7s too and am considering building the KH250 as my second quad. My first is an AeroQuad, and I switched from their software to MWC 2.3... quite an adventure. That's a large frame with 10" props. Anyway, I used the full receiver with the PWM outputs in this build, but it looks like I could have used only the satellite. Question: Did you use the full receiver or just the satellite? It looks like I could use the "Flip Pro MWC Flight Controller" with the Spektrum Satellite Plug, along with the "Lemon Satellite Receiver DSMX". Is this what you did? Does this work? G+_Tracy Biddle
I used Flip 1.5 board with a Spektrum AR6115e receiver. I am not familiar with the gear you are looking to use.
G+_Rick Mouritzen
OK cool. Looking at the MultiWii forum, it looks like it'll work.
