G+_Tracy Biddle
So I spent $150 and bought the KH250 Kit on ReadytoFlyQuads. The kit arrived and I recently found the time to start building it. I really wanted to get it in the air this weekend. Well... I come to find out Paul Baxter of ReadytoFlyQuads does not have an accurate parts list (even tough he references show KH142 in the description). So far I can say you only get 12 pairs of bullet connectors, and 1 foot of heat shrink, instead of 20 pairs of connectors and 1 meter of heat shrink. If you choose to get propellers (its and option) you get regular props not the 5x3x3 props. Now I must say you get exactly what he says on the website (he is not ripping you off). Unfortunately he is not using KH250 parts list exactly. And to make insult to injury, there is no way to contact Paul because the site has no contact info for Paul Baxter and his company ReadyToFlyQuads. Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ perhaps you can persuade Paul to get his site together (cart and checkout is nearly useless) and make a contact available so that you can interface with the company... or stop giving him all the free advertizing if he is not ready to support all the KnowHow's you throw his way. G+_nn tt
Same thing happen to my friend and I yesterday. We both have young children and family making time more precious. I went to his house with my family to build the quads only to find out that there were not enough bullet connectors and the longer M3 screws used to hold the power distribution board and flip 1.5 FC were not there. Ready to fly quads are not supplying all the needed parts for the KH250 build. We both bought the kits with all the options. One of which are the bullet connectors. The reason for buying the kit from ready to fly quads was the ease of getting it all and the assumption that it would be complete based on the KH250 build. We were not able to finish the build. Not a good experience for a couple of guys that were enthusiastic with the hobby. We will buy the needed parts elsewhere and not be recommending ready to fly quads to anyone in the future. G+_Steve Prior
See my post here: https://plus.google.com/+StevePrior/posts/7r6xhVdzk4X for things I ran into in my KH250 build. See more of my recent posts for things I've learned since then. I damaged two battery packs before I heard that you've got to be VERY careful not to over drain the pack. I also had to file the sides of the top frame so the props (same as yours) wouldn't flex up and hit it.
