G+_Michael Heinz
I'm a little disappointed that only the cheapest, lowest-resolution FatShark FPV system also has a built-in recording capability. Jump up another $90 bucks and get better resolution, but lose the SD card slot. Sigh.
G+_Barry Brown
I wonder if they use the same processor in both models. Perhaps it is not fast enough to do the higher resolution and store the video at the same time.
G+_John Russcher
What goggles are you looking at Michael Heinz?? I thought that the Dominators v2 and Dominator HD were the only FatShark goggles that had a built in DVR. I have a pair of Dominator v2's and love them! G+_Michael Heinz
They make a whole line, John - starting with the Teleporter and ending with the Dominator. G+_John Russcher
Michael Heinz?. Now I understand your statement. The dvr camera that comes with the creeper goggle set is a lower quality /resolution. The more expensive goggle set (attitudes) has a better quality camera and goggles(image quality and image size). Like Wayne Hobbins? said, most people are recording their flight with a mobius ($85us) or one of the gopro's cameras. I would recommend not getting an fpv set up yet. Get a mobius camera and prefect your flying first. You can always and a fpv setup later. I would recommend using a two camera set up anyways(dedicated fpv camera and a mobius for flight recording. Good luck.
G+_Michael Heinz
Wayne Hobbins - yeah, combining the recording and fpv into a single camera would be ideal for weight and quality, - recording in the camera will let you record in HD - but I have to assume there's a problem doing that; it's probably laggy. I saw references to people using the Mobius as an FPV camera by wiring it to a transmitter. Might be a way to save money.
G+_Michael Heinz
John Russcher - the camera does 720p, it's the headset that's only QVGA, but I have to guess there are reasons why they don't offer the same camera with better headsets.
