Well, I made it to my next problem - installed the KK board, configured it, calibrated everything, powered it up and hovered, then tried to move forward and it went backwards instead, hit me in the foot and broke a propeller. (I was only a couple of inches off the ground.)

anyone know where I can get a bunch of 3-blade 5030 propellers quickly? Alternately, what's a better propeller for the quad kit from KH115?

Also - anyone have any suggestions for PI settings that are better for training?

First... congrats! -- Breakin' props is part of the learning process. :)

Second... I ordered a BUNCH of props from a slow (China) store for about $1 each. -- You CAN get a set of 5x4x4 props from http://readytoflyquads.com if you nee them more quickly. (They are NOT sponsors... I just like the guy)

Third, P=30, I=20 ... Stick Scaling 40. -- Make sure to set the throttle curve on your transmitter so that you can keep the craft in the "sweet spot" for more of the throttle band.

Getfpv.com has gemfan 0503 props in stock.

Black - http://www.getfpv.com/propellers/gemfan-5x3-propeller-3-blade-set-of-4-black.html

Green -  http://www.getfpv.com/propellers/gemfan-5x3-propeller-3-blade-set-of-4-green.html

Orange -  http://www.getfpv.com/propellers/gemfan-5x3-propeller-3-blade-set-of-4-orange.html

Make sure that you KK Flight Control board is pointing in the correct direction.  Every FC board has a front and if you mount it pointing in the wrong direction your quad will not fly in the direction that you want. You may also have to reverse a channel in your radio also. I have not used a KK FC board but this is true for the MultiWii FC boards that I have been using.

Good Luck and post some video of your flights!
