Put a FrSky module in it then use FrSky receivers.

So the radio has two parts, the controls, and the radio module. You can replace the module in your FlySky radio with one from FrSky. You would probably get better range, I would probably just get a Taranis so you get all the advanced features and more channels.

I bought a FrSky Tarranis -- There's a module that lets it work with the FS-T6 receiver.

Michael Heinz  Just to let you know The Tarranis saved my butt yesterday. My quad was caught in a good wind and the return to home wasn't strong enough to fight it so I crashed it in a wooded area. I was able to find it with the signal meter on the Tarranis as a pointer. It makes quad recovery a lot easier.

Nick Whitworth , the FlySky transmitter doesn't support modules, as far as I can tell. 

 

So I guess I have to add this to my "upgrade" list.

Michael Heinz? FrSky sells a universal module that can be fitted to just about any transmitter with a little soldering.

Michael Heinz It is built into the radio and the X8R plus receiver. Look at Hobby King for the package. Price is around $200 but it is worth the price of not losing another Quad. Then you can add on sensors for Alt and Battery.

Just going with a taranis is also another option. I have one and swear by it. Other brands three times the price don't have it's features

What FlySky radio is it ? Does it support openTX ? (Ask google)?
