G+_Michael Heinz
Well, I won't claim I waited patiently - but it's finally here!
G+_Michael Heinz
Short review: 1) A lot more thrust than the HK250 kit >but< more responsive and more stable as well. 2) Despite being 2/3 the size of the HK250 and being made of CF instead of plastic it feels heavier. (I haven't put it on a scale to compare.) 3) Very, very maneuverable. 4) Since this was a "prize" I awarded myself, I paid Armattan to build the quad for me. Chris at Armattan did an amazing job on the mechanicals of this build - I could not have assembled this as cleanly and some of the little touches in how things are arranged are just amazing. The only issue with this is that when I have to fix the quad I'm going to have a hard time matching the precision of his build. The only downside overall is the quad has no legs at all - it is designed to "belly flop" on landing. I hate that idea but there's no easy way to add them. I might make some wire-hanger legs like I did for the HK250, but for now I just put a large zip tie around each arm to give me 1-2 mm of clearance.
