G+_Matt Koglin
If anybody was waiting, Monoprice is now shipping the 3D Delta Mini printer for $159.99 + shipping. It's not a huge build platform but it does self-level which seems like a nice feature to my 3D virgin self. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=21666 Mine arrived on Friday and I've been learning the ropes (or spaghetti) of 3D printing. Does anybody here have one? I'm writing up some notes and will share them soon.
G+_David Peach
If you are not sure whether you really want to get into printing but want to try it out, don't be dissuaded by the small print volume. Probably 85% or more of everything I have printed in the last year would fit in that build volume. Maybe you will find you love printing and want to move to something bigger. Maybe you will find that you hate it and want to sell your Delta Mini to someone here for $100. I, for one, would love to have a printer that just lived at my office for quick projects. G+_Matt Koglin
Thanks David! I’m actually quite excited about it. Mostly I’ll be printing enclosures for small electronics so I’m not terribly worried about the size and looking at this as an opportunity to learn about the process.
