I have just spent nearly an hour on the phone with a person from “Windows Tech Support” who had a strong Indian accent and whose name was Max.  He claimed he had detected errors on my computer from a remote location.  I had just installed Windows 7 on Virtual Box. I had no personal information on the Windows 7 virtual computer.  He later handed me off to another person with a strong Indian accent name Justin.  Both used Anglo surnames.  They said they found 89,000+ problems.  I installed it less than a week ago and only used it to set up a fake  ID and email address.   When he got to the point where he wanted me to pay for some software to protect my computer, I told him what I had done.  He was very upset, but didn’t swear at me like others have done.

Bryan Burnett, I hope you understand that I was baiting them.  I  just wanted to have them spin their wheels for a while.  I deleted that virtual machine when I was done.  I gave them a fake name, but they could probably do a reverse number look up to get my real name.  I think I'll do a Linux for the next time.  BTW, I'm retired and have time to play the game.
