G+_Stuart Davies
Hi. I'm starting my first quad build. I have decided to go with one that Padre suggested in episode 122. Here's a performance 230 Build: Frame RTF Mini Frame (230mm) $19.99 Motors X2208-2300KV (Advanced) $61.00 Props HQ 6x4.5 Carbon Composite $6.20 ESCs F-20A Fire Red Series SimonK (RapidESC) ($8 x 4) $32.00 Flight Controller Flip32+ $27.00. Does anyone have any suggestions what battery would be best with this quad?

G+_Stuart Davies
Ready to fly quads only have carbon or fiberglass. Where's the best place to buy nylon props and what's a good make?
G+_Eddie Foy
If you have the time, DHGate, AliExpress, Tmart. I'd say just compare prices vs shipping times. I just got in a boatload of 5030 2 & 3 blade props, but took nearly a month.
G+_Eddie Foy
Nylon vs carbon props: The DJI Phantom guys don't like the carbon for the most part. Too stiff and introduce a lot of vibration into the videos (main reason fro a Phantom) but some of the DJI customer have claimed "You don't need to balance props" so take it all with a grain of salt. nylon dirt cheap, flexible don't hurt nearly as much. carbon, rigid, cost more, will slice you good. Practice/test flights on nylon, fun on carbon
G+_Taylor Graham
Second on the fiberglass 6x45s. I fly both HQ fiber and carbon 6x45s on my mini, and the fiberglass props are 10x more resilient than the black carbon reinforced props. The carbon will explode every single time you hit something, fiber will take a few hits and keep on truckin. I bet the carbon give you slightly more lift, but you wont notice it as a beginner. That motor/prop combo will give you plenty of lift anyway. Probably too much honestly. i still have my throttle curve turned down. and ive been flying my setup for months. G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Spoiler: On Thursday, I'm giving y'all a whole-new parts list for a build that replaces the Hobbyking FPV250 (always out of stock) for about the same price with VASTLY improved flying characteristics. Stay tabbed. :)
