Hi Know it Alls,

I have a house where the existing phone wiring is Cat5e daisy chained from jack to jack (yep that sucks!). I want to make the most of it though and thought I could possibly swap out the phone jacks for ethernet jacks and then place my cable modem and primary router where the Cat 5 enters the home. I would then use a jack in a part of the house with with no/weak WiFi to add a WAP (a homerun to that room would be impractical). I am assuming I could only use 1 jack at a time (and that's OK) since it will essentially be 1 very long wire. My only concern is exceeding the 328 max distance for Cat5e. Anything else I should consider before I start rewiring jacks?
