G+_Rud Dog
And here I sit with Comcast no such bump up and sad service with no alternatives.
G+_Elizabeth Whitmire
When they bump speeds here, it's not automatic- you have to tell them you want it. So new people signing up get the higher speed, but customers already signed up don't get it unless they keep checking the provider site for the current speeds. G+_George Kozi
They did it because recently fiber was put in in almost the entire country, at no cost for the consumer. One day I got a letter that they are coming to dig up the street and put fiber in every house. We already had cable. I just checked; over cable and fiber there are 10 ISP's competing for me as a client at the moment. So... no wonder the one I'n with right now bumps the speed for free.... coe I got choices, and they want me to stay.
G+_Rud Dog
Oddly enough I live in the imaginary place known as Silicon Valley and so far Fiber is but a dream.
G+_Dieter Geithner
Google fiber is installing in our neighborhood in Austin. Staying with Spectrum (300 Mb down/30 Mb up) for now, though. Plenty fast for us...
