G+_Black Merc
One small point... Some people think some interests(certain "entertainment") should be(by their ethics) illegal and therefore not have a place on the internet.
G+_Black Merc
We don't need more laws... We need to use the ones we have, starting with the Constitution.
G+_George Kozi
lol, yeah, "no more laws' cos corporations and billionaires are gonna do the right thing, they won't take advantage, and a whole buncha stuff shall trickle down, and there shall be lots of competition ,and the Holly Market shall self regulate and Ayn Rand would approve... In fact, why do I care. I'm living in a "socialist" place with lots of regulations. And we got net neutrality, I got cable and fibre in the house put in for free, and there are like 30 ISP's competing for me as a potential client over that cable and fiber. You guys don't have any of that because you keep voting in people that take stuff away from you, so.... I'm assuming you like things as they stand there. I wouldn't be surprised if that Ajit Pie guy will run for and be elected Senator after he kills net neutrality.
G+_David Pick
That was my exact dumb explanation to my co-workers. "Do you like free porn?" They said "yes". It goes away if neutrality goes away."Noooooo"! Granted, that's slightly not true. And I recommend everyone listen to "The Butterfly Effect" free on Audible to learn the Pandora's box one guy unleashed onto the world with free porn. But they got it real quick when I put it that way. G+_Thomas Holbrook II
"Granted, that's slightly not true." And this is why I get irritated when I see memes like these. Saying that something is slightly not true is basically not true at all. In other words, it's a lie. If you're basing an argument on a lie, it's absolute weak sauce. As for the meme itself, that is complete none-sense. Companies did not do that sort of garbage back then and they won't do that today, because they aren't that stupid. G+_David Pick
Thomas Holbrook II Greed vs stupidity. They can be very large motivations to people.
G+_Thomas Holbrook II
And companies would be stupid to block websites from being accessed by adults who pay for the service in the first place. Yes, you had companies pull some bad things on customers, but the only time I've seen porn sites blocked is at schools (which makes sense for obvious reasons). It would be impractical for companies to block sites. G+_Thomas N .Gannon
Once the theocrats get another justice on the supreme Court anything the church doesn't like will become illegal. It's unfortunate but they only need one more, the present administration is stacking the lower courts with just that type of judge. The attorney general has selective memory when it comes to the alt right agenda.
G+_Black Merc
Where(exactly) in the Constitution does it say; we have to re-elect anyone? That judges are appointed 'for life'? That judges make laws? I dare you to find it. It is not there! Know the real facts, do the research yourself and don't ever listen to anyone that tells you "you just don't understand". G+_Thomas N .Gannon
The fact that judges are appointed for life and the political forces appoint for life the judges that will do as they believe the present Republican group believes the USA is a Christian Nation not a pluralistic one that may or may not believe in a diety. In a theocratic society there is only one rule, check out the middle east only democracy is isreal and the Ulta Orthodox hold a lot of political power. G+_Black Merc
Thomas N .Gannon That's not what the Constitution said... You missed the term 'in good standing'... They get so-much as a parking ticket, they can be removed!
