I kinda want one of those... of course, I would have to move, because I don't have the space to fit one where I live now, but I still want one.... although it should make a "woosh" sound of some sort.

One pin through the connecting rods. A fixed point where they overlap will prevent movement.

True but to be effective in my use case, like a garage or barn door it needs to be lockable from the inside and be able to be unlocked from both sides. I would probable throw in some u-channel on the non-pivoting side for added security.

Roger Kolasinski the pin I suggested could be padlocked to which ever side of the door you wish, the pin would pass through the connecting rods(as I stated before) and through the door(obvious hole required) and locked to appropriate hardware on which ever side you stand.

Yes but unlike all "proper" door locks (and I don't mean on a shed where your idea would work) you need to be able to exit a building that was locked from the outside if you were inside, and gain entrance through the door from outside if locked from inside.
