G+_Nick Whitworth
So I've been helping out with quadcopter stuff here for a while now, but I realized I never posted my build. Here is my 450. I just finished moving it over from a standard 450 frame, to the X-Alien frame. It has RTF Quads 2212 Standard motors, Flip32+ flight controller, 20amp ESCs. Ublox 6m GPS, Bluetooth telemetry radio. I have a sonar module too, but that hasn't worked very well. Just switched to 8x4.5 props, from 10x4.5. In the little bit of flying I've done with them, I think I like then better. Eventually I'm going to move up to the Emax 2213 motors. These kind of feel a little low on power. I'm hoping I won't have to go to 30amp escs, but if I go to a 4s battery, I may have to. I didn't want the green-orange props. I ordered black carbon composite ones. These are the ones RTF quads sent, though. Also got the wrong power distribution board. I didn't want to wait for another shipment, though, so I just went with it.

G+_Nick Whitworth
I had to mount the battery underneath, instead of in the cage at the back. That was the only way to get it to balance. I'll probably cut down some of the legs from my old frame so I don't have to land on the battery.
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Nick Whitworth Yeah... the mobius is a lot lighter than a GoPro w/case. I'm just happy that you recognized the CoG issue. I've seen too many Alien-X configs that don't account for weight shifting.
