G+_Ben Yanke
Today my Nexus 5 got dropped, and not responding to touch, BUT the glass is completely intact. Is that a broken digitizer with a need for a screen replacement, or something else like a loose cable? I have never heard of a touch screen stopping without the glass breaking... G+_Bryce Campbell
Ben Yanke it could be the connector was dislodged or damaged, or could be the ribbon cable was damaged.
G+_Eddie Foy
I lean towards cable too. Had an old iPod that got dropped (I saw the edge that it landed on) And stopped working. I gave it a wrap on the opposite side, and it worked again from there on.
G+_Ben Yanke
Grr, Did a full teardown, all cables look intact, and removed and reattached every cable too. I wonder if one of them has a short or something.

G+_Bryce Campbell
Ben Yanke if you are interested in perhaps looking at buying a new part, after multiple unsuccessful crap parts companys, I have found http://www.etradesupply.com has the best quality parts! Prices, I find, are reasonable and can get OEM or A/M parts.
