G+_Ben Yanke
Ok, I messed up something, and I am wondering if someone might be able to help.......When I left for work yesterday, my network was working fine. While at work, I (for the first time) used the standard SSH proxy function from my laptop to get back into my home network. When I returned home, I couldn't get a connection to the outside to most domains, though facebook, google, and oddly enough SSH proxying work just fine....Any ideas? G+_Ben Yanke
Oh, and dropbox works great too. But not much else....
G+_Travis Hershberger
Do you have a leftover route to the work network hanging around? Sometimes the routing between networks will get left in place after exiting a session. Removing the route should kick things back into gear. G+_Steve Martin
Can you tell us specifically what "standard SSH proxy function." You are referring to? Did you leave an SSH port forwarding process running? Is this Windows, Mac or Linux?
G+_Ben Reese
Only that device, or all devices? Have you tried rebooting the router? Could it be a DNS issue (can you ping Google.com? 8.8.8.8?)
G+_Ben Yanke
Now mostly working, but port forwaring is a bit weird...I reset the router and now it's working, but when I try to forward port 80 to the webserver on my lan, it's seeming to try and route ALL my incoming port 80 traffic (ie, the pages I'm trying to view) that direction.
