G+_Black Merc
Well, many of us use those banking app's... Meaning Google and Apple may allready know that info.(no matter what the app claim to keep secret) ... This is just the next step, on claims that fb can 'advise' you about your money. Bad idea(mho). G+_William L. DeRieux IV
Facebook said it wouldn’t use the bank data for ad-targeting purposes or share it with third parties. Yeah around around 10 years ago (circa 2008).....Mark Zuckerberg made a claim that Facebook will never sell user data. We know that to be untrue now..... (see cambridge analytica scandal). So what we have here is evidence that Facebook & Zuckerberg will lie if it benefits them.

G+_William L. DeRieux IV
Geoff Galley Assuming that you are referring to the US Privacy Act of 1974.... Unfortunately that doesn't apply to Facebook.....they aren't a US federal agency. justice.gov - Privacy Act of 1974
G+_Geoff Galley
No the privacy Act in Australia, were it is illegal to release anyone information without there written consent, agreeing to online user agreements are not exempt from it either. G+_William L. DeRieux IV
Geoff Galley Facebook will be subject to any local laws, where they conduct business, but those laws don't apply outside of that area. So, for Australian facebook users....facebook will have to adhere to their privacy law; but similar laws will vary from one place to another.
