G+_Dave Trautman
Anything from the OMNI software group. Quality Apps for both iOS and MacOS. Too bad they don't make a word processor. Their Outliner is more than just capable. You might think about how productivity apps is a category which is slowly fading away. The capabilities of various Calendar, mail, and to-do apps has transformed the notion that something like Outlook can do it all. Inter-communication between apps is growing in the mobile space and being productive means more about knowing what's happening than writing a memo to your staff. Cloud Services are also transforming the notion of productivity when everything staff are being asked to do is coming from a Google Doc and everything they are producing for you is tracked automatically – not requiring someone to spreadsheet the whole operation. The back end used to be quite far away from day-to-day operations in a small office but now the back end is constantly interacting with you. Collaborative document authoring on Google Docs will be adopted by everyone eventually. Then no one will have an app for just that. They will have an app for every part of their daily work – including where to have lunch – because, well, without lunch, work is so hard. ;-)
