G+_Marc Kline
Favorite new TWiT viewing setup: streamed from my iPhone over AirPlay using the TWiT.tv app to XBMC on Raspberry Pi (Raspbmc), navigated (play/pause/seek/volume) using my TV remote (TV has CEC capability through HDMI). I've tried a few other ways - YouTube app over AirPlay, YouTube app on TV paired with iPhone (different than AirPlay), and the TWiT plugin in XBMC - and this is the best I've found so far. If only Netflix provided a way for XBMC add-on developers to support it, I would have no need for any other video device.
G+_Marc Kline
I've heard that the Roku is excellent as well, but I give RaspPi extra points here due to the extra hackability and neat factor. I think I may end up with 4 or 5 of these things by years end!

G+_Stuart Moore
Is there anything you'd like to see when using the TWiT.tv app over AirPlay? I've been using it to AirPlay to my old iMac with AirServer. I'm starting to think I don't need a TV.

G+_Marc Kline
Stuart Moore Sometimes the video keeps up with the buffer less reliably than through YouTube for previously recorded episodes, but there's nothing that the app developer can do about that, I imagine. It would be neat to have the IRC chat room show in the app while AirPlay-ing as the second-screen experience - especially on iPad where there is more screen real estate and where I sometimes have my Bluetooth keyboard hooked up to. I'm patiently awaiting the day where I might convince my girlfriend to give up the cable connection without feeling the need to resort to content pirating. G+_Marc Kline
Stuart Moore Wow. I'm eagerly anticipating it, then. Either you are a genie, or you are the app developer. Assuming you're the developer, thanks for the great app! To me, it's an integral part of the TWiT ecosystem.

G+_Marc Kline
Stuart Moore To qualify my endorsement a bit, I'll give you this little tidbit... During the warmer months here outside of Philadelphia, I work on a farm. This past season, I used Downcast to cache and listen to most of recorded episodes. But I used your app to listen to many hours of live shows (including specials, like the Apple iPad Mini announcement) while I was doing tractor work or other tasks by myself. The cool factor of listening to a live programming placed thousands of miles away while working outside made for an incredible experience. Thanks again.?
