G+_Marc Kline
I think Quora is becoming the Stack Overflow for the rest of life, besting some of the other "ask" platforms for quality crowdsourced answers. I recently got some great responses to a question about getting started with video production. Does anyone else have any positive experiences with it? http://www.quora.com
G+_Sarah Warn
I've found Quora to be really helpful -- the quality of answers is so much higher than I've found almost anywhere else on the web. Interestingly, I find Reddit to be really helpful, too (albeit not so much for in-depth business questions). It's also very funny, if you don't mind random asides. G+_Marc Kline
Sometimes I miss "the old days" of Usenet, IRC, listserv's, etc for connecting with people I've never met but share some interests. But it's exciting now that other types of knowledge communities are bleeding further into the mainstream, or at least not only in the sphere of the technically elite. It's been true for a while that my first instinct is to do a Google search query when I have a question or idea in mind I want to explore. Now I find myself again thinking "who can I ask about this?" too.
