Also when dealing with Wordpress installs one should tighten down the security of the site whenever possible. This includes NOT using the default username name of admin for the Wordpress install. The Wordpress site has some suggestions on how to tighten down security 

http://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress . Also make regular backups of your site. There are automated plugins that you can use and again the Wordpress site has some suggestions http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

 

Also make sure that the Wordpress install is always up to date along with any Wordpress plugins that you use on your site. If you are using a Wordpress install supplied by your hosting company you may have to rely on them to push out the updates.
