Got done watching the cord cutter episode, I have recently disconnected my tv service and went with straight internet. The issue that I see can happen maybe with binge watching is in my case I have uverse internet and now there is a 1TB cap if you go over they will charge for it, they do have an option to go unlimited which cost an extra $30, I don't know about cable providers if they have the same thing. If looking into cutting the tv service to save money that might be a good thing to verify because it could cost you more in the long run, but I have only seen the bandwidth climb during binge watching.

Time Warner/Spectrum doesn't have limits where I'm at, but I don't think we've used 1 TB in a month. Their site is being stupid and only showing me my usage as of 2017-07-19 (which hasn't occurred yet), but it says 383 GB. I think that's pretty close to what it has shown per month in the past too.

For comparison, we "cut the cord" about 3 years ago. I've got ~6 TB uploaded to cloud backup, I work from home 3 days a week, and we stream Netflix and YouTube about 4 hours a day.

I think for most people 1 TB/mo is sufficient - even if binge watching a whole series.

I cut the cable TV cord about 3 years ago. I dont binge watch too much but Ive got to say my local library has a well-stocked DVD section and since its part of a nationwide system anything that Ive wanted to see (or play) I've been able to get just by reserving. I even got the Resident Evil for PSVR from the library since my son is a big xbox fan of the game and I figured he would get a kick out of playing it in VR (he did).
