G+_Donald Kloss
I have a networking question, I use a home internet device that has a built in router and I added 2 asoka plugs to bring the line to another spot and on that side I have a linksys router setup on bridge mode, do I need to use crossover cables from the internet gateway to one Asoka plug and then from the other Asoka plug to the linksys router? G+_David Peach
My guess is no. Regular cables. It won't hurt to try with normal cables. To me, without trying to figure out the whole setup, it makes sense to do normal cables. And, many devices are smart enough these days that if it requires crossover cables and you don't use them, they make the crossover internally. G+_Travis Hershberger
It's been around 10 years since I saw a network device that needed a crossover cable, and that was an old piece of Telecom gear. It's just not a worry today.
