G+_John Mink
1) What the heck is going on with that tablet? I'd love to know what tablet it is....but also, it looks like it has some adapter to go from audio jack to phone line? What? Is that a thing? 2) Interesting twist to this story. 3) SPACE INTERNET! http://arstechnica.com/business/2015/01/google-might-pour-money-into-spacex-really-wants-satellite-internet/ http://arstechnica.com/business/2015/01/google-might-pour-money-into-spacex-really-wants-satellite-internet
G+_Glenn Hoeppner
Is that a tablet at all? I think it could be like a Wacom pen display.

G+_John Mink
Glenn Hoeppner? I didn't think of that...but that said, why would a Wacom pen display be hooked up to a telephone line?

G+_Paul Comeau
If you trace the cable... it goes past the Polycom unit, not into it.. so I don't think it's plugged into the phone. I know PolyCom makes USB phone plugins for computers but in this case I'm guessing power or network (photo is from 2008, so not expecting anything major by today's standards.) G+_John Mink
Paul Comeau? yes but I think it loops back. Also, the flat disc shaped thing is a microphone that is used when you're not nearby the main speaker (such as across the table)... so if it's connected to that, it's connected to the phone. G+_John Mink
Huh, ok....guess that means the "audio" cord is really a power cord. Thanks Mike Child
