G+_Erich W Posted June 10, 2013 Share Posted June 10, 2013 Just thinking, Some people are surprised by the move of Google on the Pixel to go for 3:2 aspect ratio. I welcome such a move. The moments I use to develop or read on my workstation I really hate the 16:9 aspect ratio. The only use where it makes sense is looking at movies. For everything else I would rather turn my monitor 90 degrees. I hope that hardware vendors will learn from Google and increase the number off pixels (on laptops) and increase the height of the screens. Is is getting harder to get past the 1080 pixels high .... I totally agree the 16:9 ratio is better for movies (and maybe for page layout design :) ) Even then, I don't mind those black bars above and below my movie like a lot of people seem to hate.
