G+_Jason
I recently started using WiFi Analyzer and noticed some of the networks in my neighborhood do not show router manufacturer. How do they hide this info? I would like to do it with my router. I have the Synology RT2600ac. Thanks, Padre, for this recommendation.
G+_Travis Hershberger
Change the MAC address. I don't know which numbers are still unassigned tho. Probably an easier way to accomplish it tho.
G+_Paul Hutchinson
Could be those particular routers are made by companies that use the OEM chip set manufacturer's MAC address instead of buying and applying their own range of MAC addresses. So when seen by that app it doesn't bother to display the name since the chip set makers name isn't really useful. I see this on my network for regular devices all the time. Right now Fing is showing me , Microchip, Ce Link, Shenzhen Rf-Link and Pegatron for four of my devices.
